An extremely rare, deluxe, sterling silver, EVANS smoker's set of pocket lighter and cigarette case.
American, ca. 1930's - 1940's.
Both pieces are heavy, solid silver with gold plating.
Fine quality, heavy, solid construction.
Superb, engraved, two-toned, geometric Art Deco design!
Case: ca. 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
Lighter: ca; 2 1/8 x 1 1/2 inches.
Lighter marked on top by mechanism: EVANS, U.S.A. and on the bottom: STERLING SILVER.
Case marked inside: STERLING, EVANS (logo).
Weight of case: ca. 6.4 toz., 128.5 dwt., 200 gr.
Weight of lighter: ca. 1.9 toz., 37.5 dwt., 58.5 gr.
Mint condition! Never fired. Untested.
Lighter should work, but needs flint and fluid.
